MIAMI DJ - MICHEL ATTIE

TALENT BIO

Michel Attie is a Miami based DJ and producer whose sound moves between deep, soulful house and the rising waves of Afro house and amapiano. His ear for rhythm and texture runs through his “Mizik Nanm” series (Haitian Creole for “music of the soul”), a body of work that’s grown across two volumes since 2017 and reflects the Haitian roots woven into his sound.

In recent years Attie has leaned further into the Afro house scene that’s come to define so much of Miami’s underground, building out projects like “Dance Ronaaa” and his “High on Amapiano” mixes before stepping onto the international stage with “Ni Shavha,” a 2025 collaboration with South African artist Mavhungu released on Malanga Records.

“I’m proud of the fact that as a DJ you have the power to affect someone’s mood. You can heal someone through music. One of my goals this year is to produce more music to dive deeper into my creative capabilities and to make music that touches and satisfies the soul.”

I’ve been DJing for over 15 years, and I’m enjoying the people and the connections I’ve made. One of my major highlights in my DJ career was to play for Phil Collins on New Year’s Eve, and I hold that moment very important to the trajectory of my musical journey.

Growing up, I was always someone who was intuitive and someone who observed a lot, which has helped me in terms of my career as a DJ, as the most important thing is to observe and pay attention to the mood of the crowd.

I don’t find myself watching or aligning with whatever is “trendy” but I do my best to bring my authentic self to the space and community. This is challenging because often people use social media to book and select DJs.
